Our lactation consultants are available to meet with you one-on-one, in our office, at your home, or at Magnolia Birth Center, to provide management of major and minor breastfeeding challenges, including but not limited to:
Low milk supply, Slow weight gain , Sore nipples/breasts , Mastitis , Yeast/thrush Clogged ducts , Fussy baby Establishing milk supply for adoption , NICU babies. We understand that some breastfeeding challenges need to be addressed immediately. We offer same-day appointments for those who need immediate assistance, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Why use an IBCLC for Lactation Support?
Lactation consultants are clinicians that specialize in infant breastfeeding management and the treatment of lactation-specific breast pathology.
International board-certified lactation consultants (IBCLCs) are considered the Gold Standard in lactation support and are the only professionals credentialed to provide complete clinical lactation support and care. We receive referrals from doctors, nurses, La Leche League leaders, lactation educators, and other breastfeeding specialists when an issue goes beyond minor troubleshooting.

Peaceful Beginnings prides itself on providing exceptional and highly individualized care with nursing families throughout the Triad. Our fees include an initial consultation of
1-2 hours, a plan of care, unlimited phone and email support, and weight checks for the issue . Supplies and follow-up appointments may incur additional fees.

Paying for Lactation Services Thanks to the Affordable Care Act of 2010, lactation services and supplies are now covered under most insurance plans when provided by an IBCLC. While we do not file insurance for you, we will give you a bill with diagnosis codes and other necessary information for your insurance company to reimburse you.
