About Linda
Linda began her nursing career in the 1970s as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Upstate New York. Her passion for working and teaching new mothers about breastfeeding led her to a certification as a international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). In addition, Linda filled her desire to combine her license as a massage and bodywork therapist (LMBT) with a focus on Women’s Health. She has additional training in pregnancy massage, fertility massage and as a newborn infant massage instructor. Linda is also is massage instructor for Pregnancy Massage.
Linda has more than 20 years building relationships with new mothers. Early in her career, she combined her talents as an RN, teacher, lactation consultant, massage therapist and leader in the hospital setting. Linda’s knowledge, talents, and her connection to people allow her to take full advantage of the needs of each human being.
Linda is a member of the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) and Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP). She also holds a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA). Linda's book; Breastfeeding for the Caregiver, focuses on how the caregivers can assist the breastfeeding dyad with breastfeeding. She has another edition for mothers, Breastfeeding Success for Mothers and Their Babies. This edition is an easy to follow guide with essential information on what a mother needs to know for success in breastfeeding.
In addition to helping clients succeed in their breastfeeding goals and help women feel more relaxed and energetic through massage, Linda enjoys spending time with her family. Linda and her husband Dan have been married since 1977. Together they have three adult children, Daniel, Heather and Patrick. Linda witnessed the amazing birth of her first granddaughter, Eleanor Ananda, on July 2, 2006.
About Heather
Heather began her career as a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist (LMBT) in 2000. Her growing interest in the human body led her to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2005. Heather was awarded the Undergraduate Leadership Award from the School of Nursing.
Heather’s massage experience includes deep tissue massage, Swedish massage and she is certified as a prenatal massage therapist. Heather has a real passion for being with women during their labor and birthing experience. She is able to fill this passion as a labor and delivery nurse.
Heather is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP). She is a nurse midwife student at Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing. Heather is married to Trey Hogan and together they have a beautiful daughter, Eleanor Ananda. In her spare time, Heather spends time with her family.
