NEW! Newborn Breastfeeding Support Class

The Newborn Breastfeeding Support Class is for moms and newborns (birth through 6 weeks) to help moms reach their breastfeeding goal.

A feeding assessment will be done to ensure that the newborn continues to gain weight adequately, to make certain that moms have a good milk supply, to assess the need for a lactation consultant or make recommendations if needed.

Who should attend this group?

Anyone who desires the expertise of a feeding assessement and reciew of basic breastfeeding information now that baby is born. This class is designed for moms and newborns birth through 6 weeks of age. It is not a full lactation consultation.

Fee: $15 (the fee goes toward a consultation should it be necessary)

Dates: Every Tues and Thurs from 1pm -3pm

Breastfeeding consultation - group and private sessions

This service is full lactation services in a group setting. The group consultation is offered by a international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC).

These small lactation consultation groups enable moms who are faced with breastfeeding challenges to receive lactation consultation in a group setting with a lactation consultant. Each mother receives the support she needs as well as an individual treatment plan to meet her needs.

Who should attend this group?

Anyone who desires or needs the assistance of a lactation consultant. Contact Linda regarding group session as space is limited.

Fee: $25.00 per group session

Dates: Every Wednesday from 1pm -3pm

Private consultations and home sessions are also available

Breastfeeding Consultation-private sessions

Breastfeeding Consultation at Peaceful Beginnings is offered in our office or in the comfort of your home. We offer private sessions by appointment. Contact Linda at any time for an appointment Monday through Sunday including holidays. 336-255-8311. Telephone and Email Consultations are available when appropriate. Remember, if you are in your third trimester, you have a long drive to Greensboro, NC, or your work schedule makes it a challenge to attend a weekday class, ask us about a weekend class or private class. Classes are monthly, so call for more classes. 10% discount if you register in your first trimester.

We also work with the class and arrange time and days of the week to meet the class needs , so let us know if you have specific days and times. thank you.

Class Fee includes all your material for the class, including book, 2 CDs, and 2 packets of handouts. In addition, 2 breastfeeding classes are included.

Lamaze Class fee is $125.00 for the series, $30.00 (goes toward the class fee) non-refundable deposit to hold your place. Fee includes breastfeeding classes.

This is an introductory class for individuals or couples who want to learn more about their options for childbirth classes and ways to prepare for the birth of their baby.

Fee: $10.00 includes handouts (When you register for Lamaze or HypnoBirthing, the $10.00 fee for Mommy Boot Camp goes toward the deposit) Classes are 6pm-7:30pm

Surviving Newborn Care

Learn about what to expect after baby is born, lab work, jaundice, immunizations, normal newborn variations, bathing, crying and more. A great class for before your baby is born.

Newborn Massage Classes

Caregivers will learn interactive massage to suit their baby’s needs. You will learn massage techniques you can apply to your newborn as well as the types of lotions and essential oils that are safe to use with your newborn. It is recommended that you take this class before your baby is born so you can start massage as soon after your baby is born. However, babies are always welcome!
